A huge thank you to all who supported our event on St Katharine’s Day last week.
The evening began with an insight to the situation for the real person inside Syria. This was presented powerfully but without drama from the co -founder of the Charity Hand in Hand for Syria, Fadi Al Dairi and Dr Orla A Barra who heads up their medical team. Their active involvement in providing humanitarian aid to the people in Syria has been their core aim of the charity since the conflict began over 4 years ago.

This was followed by a beautiful sung recital in the chapel by Paul Thomas Walsh and Nick Bland. The atmosphere created was most heartening and gave something of a real sense of the hope for humanity.
The evening concluded with a relaxed enjoyable drinks reception hosted by the Master of the Royal Foundation of St Katharine, the Rev Mark Aitken, in our lounge.
Over £400 was raised for Hand in Hand on the evening.
