The London Marathon is one of those annual events that always catches the imagination of so many people. The combined elements of competitiveness and charity are unique and should be celebrated. This is exactly what we are going to be doing here at The Royal Foundation of St Katharine for the second year running with a lovely day out that spreads across our whole Precinct and Yurt Cafe.
The Yurt Cafe at St Katharine’s Precinct in Limehouse is one of the few locations the London Marathon directly passes twice, so it is a fantastic place to take advantage of the amazing atmosphere that the London Marathon never fails to foster with brilliant views of the race itself. In addition, from 09.00 am until 16.00 pm we will be serving a variety of Tea, Coffee, drinks and food including a tasty BBQ Lunch.
Amazing food, atmosphere, setting and beverages are not the only things we have on offer during the London Marathon however! The London Rock Choir, supporting Nordoff Robbins Musical Therapy Charity, will be performing throughout the day and our resident DJ will keep St Katharine’s Precinct alive with music. Come and support the musicians and enjoy what is set to be a lovely day out 🙂
St Katharine’s Precinct is very easy to reach from Central London and can be found right next to Limehouse DLR: http://precinct.rfsk.org/
We can’t wait to see you all on Sunday 23rd April, do come along and support those running and doing their bit for charity in the London Marathon!
